Stained Glass - Don't Break

1 Samuel 1:6-7

“Because THE LORD had closed Hannah’s womb, her rival (adversary) kept provoking her in order to irritate her. This went on year after year..her rival provoked her till she wept and would not eat.”

I had a friend who was in a winning season. Everything was going great for them. I was so happy to see them prosper. As this person prospered, their heart toward me grew ugly and unkind. At the time I was not in a winning season. Actually, I was just the opposite, the season was barren, everything was going wrong. While I shared in their joy and supported their triumph, I endured their taunting words and provoking actions in return. Confused at our unhappy differences, my heart was broken to see a friend I was loyal to revealed that they were not a friend at all.

Going to God in prayer, not adding to the burden of this situation that kept growing worse. God reassured me that He was taking the broken pieces and imparting something new and great within me. Extraordinary love and kindness through the Holy Spirit that was amazing were gluing each piece back together.

God will impart to you something great on the inside of you that does not match your current circumstance. What God imparts is great and bigger than you can ever imagine.

Your greatness is about to birth a triumphant victory!!!

Father, thank you for taking my broken pieces and creating something great through your love and kindness. Holy Spirit comfort me as you guide me in this next season. Allow my heart to be open to something new. I ask in Jesus name, Amen.

2 Corinthians 4:7

However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.

Isaiah 48:15

I, even I, have spoken; yea, I have called him: I have brought him, and he shall make his way prosperous.
